We are off again, back to the Northern Territory to retrace the footsteps of Ludwig leichhardt.

Not the expedition that he disappeared, never to be heard of again. One of Australia's greatest mysteries.

But, the expedition fromMorton bay in Queensland to Port Essington, in Arnhem Land.

We picked up his journey at Flying Fox Creek on the Nhulunbuy Rd out of Katherine.

Our host Reggie, has his moments, wandering around the crocodile swamps, finding quick sand

and totally amazed at what leichhardt and his men would have endured back in 1844-45

as they travelled over  4800 klms over 14 months from east to west.
